Our Sustainability
We are the kind of people that like to scrape the last bit of yoghurt from the bottom of the pot.
We are renowned for our printing capabilities across a wide range of materials. So how do we minimise our waste? As one of our core values, we are always looking for new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle as much as we possibly can.
One of the ways we do this is by always encouraging our customers to use full sheets, but sometimes this can’t be done. In this instance, we use what would otherwise be waste and turn it into our sample tiles. Our sample tiles have been designed to be small enough to fit on the end of most sheets and offcuts, meaning we are well stocked for new customers as well as reducing what we put in the bin.
Our sample tiles are so versatile. We use them to win new business by sending them out to prospective customers, so they can see and feel the quality of our print. We also use them with our existing customers when discussing any new custom requirements and working out the best material for the job. This comes in handy when moving from traditional PVC print to our more eco-friendly alternatives, as it demonstrates their merits and shows you are not losing functionality by moving to a more sustainable product.
With our printing capabilities across an ever-growing range of materials, not all of them are recyclable. So what do we do with the non-recyclable and sample tile cutouts left?
We have become a Scrapstore Supplier, by donating all leftover materials to a local charity; Gloucester Resource Centre, we are contributing to the well-being of Gloucestershire communities by ensuring surplus materials don’t go into a waste stream but are usefully re-used instead. This means all our materials will have a second life, being used in art, craft, play and educational activities.
